Rehabilitation is the speciality responsible for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of disability, with the aim of facilitating, maintaining or restoring the highest possible degree of functional capacity and independence.

Medical care in this speciality focuses on developing the individual's functional and psychological capacities and activating their compensatory mechanisms, so that the patient can lead an independent and active life. Results are measured in functional parameters: the recovery of mobility, self-care, manual dexterity and communication. The patient plays an active role in the treatment.

The Juaneda Salvà Rehabilitation Department is located just a few metres from the hospital itself, with easy parking. It has a large, bright rehabilitation room where patients have all the services they need for a successful recovery within reach.

Our centre offers personalised care throughout the entire process from an attentive and qualified team (17 physiotherapists and 7 assistants) who make sure patients enjoy an atmosphere of well-being and safety during their recovery.

The techniques we offer include:

-Manual therapy and therapeutic exercise groups led by our team of physiotherapists.
-Thermotherapy: microwave, infrared and laser (spot, scanning and state-of-the-art high-frequency).
-Hydrotherapy: cryotherapy, paraffin baths and contrast baths.
-Electrotherapy: TENS, interferential currents, electrical muscle stimulation (EMS), iontophoresis, exponential currents, Träbert currents…
-Vibrotherapy: manual ultrasound, hands-free ultrasound (latest technology) and underwater ultrasound.
